New on-site Academy Shop at Priory Ruskin Academy for John Cheatle Group

A new on-site Academy shop is already benefiting pupils, parents and staff at The Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham.

Opened earlier this year, the shop is being operated by the John Cheatle Group, which is the largest supplier of schoolwear to the independent and maintained schools sector. An exclusive Academy shop was selected by the school due to its significant advantages for parents, pupils and staff, bringing them a convenient, on-site shopping experience with hours to suit the busy Academy day, and open three days a week plus holiday openings.

The shop is run by Ann Boyer and all stock levels are being managed by the John Cheatle Group. As a supplier to more than 2500 schools, and with over 50 dedicated school shops currently operating around the UK, including three other Priory Federation Academies, the John Cheatle Group’s experience has proven invaluable – and on an ongoing basis, too.

Academy headmaster Clive Shepherd said the Academy shop would support the Academy in maintaining its high expectation of uniform standards, promoting cohesion and a sense of pride in its pupils, and at the same time would make life much easier for busy parents.

For the John Cheatle Group, regional manager Scott Glover said: “We’re delighted to open this dedicated Academy shop as we know it is welcomed by busy parents and Academy staff alike. It provides convenience, the opportunity for pupils to try uniforms on before buying, and economically priced uniforms and Academy sportswear.”

The John Cheatle Group is based in Leicester, with retail outlets throughout the North and North-West, school shops all over the UK from Bath to Blyth, Cardiff to Cambridge, and a highly efficient online service. It is still a family-owned business.
