Knights Trail brings half-term fun to Kenilworth Castle

Saturday 19 – Sunday 27 February 2011

This February half-term, young visitors to Kenilworth Castle will be called into the service of the Queen, as the site hosts a Knights Trail from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 February!

The Queen has asked for help in inviting her English Heritage knights and squires to a banquet – but she can’t find them all! Kenilworth’s young visitors are invited to find the miniature model knights to deliver her invitation in time, with a royal reward of a fun sticker for everyone completing the task!

The Knights Trail runs daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Anyone visiting the castle on Fridays until the end of March can also reserve a place on a series of free guided tours around this beautiful castle. Visitors can round off their visit with a hot cup of tea and slice of cake in the castle tearoom. In February, the tours focus on John of Gaunt, who turned the Norman castle into a grand medieval palace. Tours leave at 11.00am and 2.00pm.

Kenilworth Castle & Elizabethan Garden is open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm. The castle tearoom is open every day during February half term. Admission prices are £7.60 for adults, £6.50 for concessions and £3.80 for children. A family ticket is also available for £19.00 (two adults and up to three children).
