With visitor numbers up over the summer as people enjoyed their holidays at home, Witley Court is helping people with their Christmas shopping, offering 10% off everything from stocking-filler toys to replica swords – with a Christmas trail to keep the children busy, too!
On the weekend of 28 & 29 November, the site will be uncorking bottles of traditional wines and opening chutneys for two days of tastings and savings! Literally everything in the shop will be discounted by 10%, including the best-selling range of liqueurs, chocolates and even Victorian and Gothic-style jewellery, as well as plants, garden products and locally-produced speciality foods.
Whilst mums are browsing in the shop, dads can help the children complete Witley Court’s Christmas trail, hunting around the woodland trail to find a series of clues. Anyone completing the trail will be rewarded with a delicious festive treat. The trail will take place on 12 & 13 December – a great opportunity to escape the busy high street!
“People come back to our gift-shop year after year to find unusual gifts, and our retail weekend is absolutely the best time to do it,” says visitor operations site supervisor, Spencer Trickett. “Every weekend until Christmas, we’ll be offering visitors samples of our best-selling range of traditional wines and liqueurs so that they can try before they buy, and really get into the festive spirit!”
Witley Court and Gardens is open throughout the winter every Wednesday to Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Admission prices are £5.80 for adults, £4.90 for concessions and £2.90 for children, with a family ticket available for £14.50. For more details, please call 01299 896636 or visit
