Golden opportunity for Easter visitors hopping along to Brodsworth Hall and Conisbrough Castle!

One of English Heritage’s South Yorkshire sites could hold an extra tasty treat for visitors over the Easter weekend, when Brodsworth Hall and Conisbrough Castle team up with Universal Pictures for a chance to win a real golden egg!

To mark the release of ‘HOP’, the latest animated film from Universal Studios, 26 English Heritage sites up and down the country will be running HOP-themed Easter trails. At each site, visitors who find the cuddly Easter bunny can enter a free prize draw – one lucky winner at each site will win the toy, and one entry will win a golden egg, worth over £2000!

“Our Easter trails at both Brodsworth Hall and Conisbrough Castle are always fantastically popular, with everyone who completes the trail receiving a delicious Lindt chocolate treat courtesy of Universal Studios,” explains head of visitor operations for English Heritage, Jaqueline Roebuck. “We’re bracing ourselves for even more visitors now that there is real treasure on offer!”

Set to be this Easter’s family blockbuster, 'HOP' is an animated family film from the creators of 'Alvin and the Chipmunks’ and ‘Despicable Me'. The movie tells the comic tale of Fred (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand). Fred must take in the Easter Bunny - the world's worst house guest - as he recovers, but through their struggle both will learn what it takes to finally grow up.

The Easter Family Fun Trail runs from Good Friday 22 April to Easter Monday 25 April at Brodsworth Hall & Gardens, with garden admission prices of £5.50 for adults, £5.00 for concessions and £3.30 for children (hall admission extra).

The trail runs from Saturday 23 April to Easter Monday 25 April at Conisbrough Castle.

Admission prices are £4.50 for adults, £4.10 for concessions, £2.70 for children or £11.70 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children). English Heritage members get into both sites free of charge. For more information, please visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/ yorkshire or call 0870 33 1181 for a 2011 list of events.
