Winergy, with an impressive 30-year pedigree going back to 1981, is exhibiting at this year’s RenewableUK in Manchester, and its focus is very much on service.
Winergy designs gear units for almost every turbine type on the market today, with 175 different gearbox types engineered. It manufactures gear units from 80kW up to 6.5MW power range and supplies to all major turbine manufacturers.
As well as new units, Winergy offers unrivalled service support, including technical advice, original spare parts, field services (including endoscopic inspections, on-site repairs with specialist tools to retain the gearbox within the turbine), workshop refurbishment to original manufacturers’ specifications to ensure safe operation (in line with European Directive 2006/42/EG) and including gearbox improvements as standard, spare gearboxes (either from stock or with specified lead times) and tailor-made service agreements, incorporating the concept of guaranteed availability of Winergy capacity if required.
A global organisation, Winergy has facilities in Germany, USA, China and India, as well as a wide service network utilising Siemens subsidiaries in Australia, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Canada, and now a new authorised service centre in Leeds, UK. Winergy has the highest test bench capacity in the world, including the world’s most powerful test bench at 14MW.
