Footprint appointed to put independent schoolwear supplier at top of its class

Footprint has been appointed to carry out an integrated advertising and PR campaign for the John Cheatle Group, the UK’s largest independent schoolwear supplier.

The campaign is aimed at re-emphasising the premier position occupied by the 70-year-old family business, which supplies more than 2500 primary and secondary schools across the UK, 500 of them in the independent sector. This position has been achieved through the flexibility of the John Cheatle offer, from on-site school shops, through High Street retail outlets, to online ordering and also a straightforward mail order service.

Key education titles are being targeted with a year-long advertising campaign, as well as relevant editorials within appropriate features. The John Cheatle Group is opening a number of on-site school shops around the UK, and these will be promoted in their own right, too.

Footprint has previously worked on the John Cheatle Group’s Back to School summer campaigns and run a series of locally based competitions in a variety of regional newspapers.
