Case study - Uponor event RISING TO THE DRAINLAYING CHALLENGEOne of the most successful industry events in recent years was orchestrated by Footprint, when several of the water companies’ CEOs were persuaded to lay a drain against the clock using Uponor pipe and chamber, in a National Drainlaying Competition Executive Challenge. The incentive was that Uponor donated £500 to WaterAid for every competing pair. The event, held at the international IWEX exhibition, raised huge interest, with big crowds attending and over £5000 raised for WaterAid. Photos of the CEOs were circulated by Footprint to many industry magazines and coverage was achieved for months after the event. Some of the participants used rather unorthodox methods for preparing and laying a drain!
